No matter what you call them, you need some kind of tool for pushing and pulling that glass around. We offer a variety of both Tungsten and Carbon Steel rakes.
Straight tungsten rake, with a sharpened, 4" long tungsten shaft. The shaft is available in three diameters: 1/16", 3/32", and 1/8". Complete with a wood handle, the rake is 7-1/2" in overall length.

Made of hi-carbon steel, and are 7-1/2" long. One end comes to a sharp point, the other bent to a 90° angle. Soft, heat-resistant rubber grip in the middle.

In Japan, these are called 'Lakes'. Whatever they are called, they are quite useful at the torch. We have two different ones: both are about 7" long blackened steel, are knurled in the middle for a sure grip, and have a 1/2" wide flat end, ground to a sharp edge. The other end is either pointed, or has a 1/4" wide flat end.
